My office in Phoenix is buried in an older neighborhood. When I used to take the kids to the office with me, we would drive down one of the streets to watch the progress of this amazing treehouse being built. It is finally complete. It has a large porch with a comfortable couch and tables, a rope all the way to the top with a basket on the end for easy picnic transport, a pirate’s plank, and many levels to climb with ladders and a pull-down staircase.
I would love to have something like this place one day even if the kids have flown the coop and it’s just me and the spouse to enjoy pie and a cup of coffee on a wonderful afternoon.

That’s a pretty fantastic treehouse. Sadly in Vancouver, the development-mad city hall is so control freakish and in the pockets, if you know what I mean, they would have had this pulled down in a week flat. Unless, of course, the property owner was also a developer. #justsayin’

We lack trees in our yard, but when we take down our garage, we are going to create something cool in our back yard for the kids to entertain themselves … I just haven’t figured out what. Yet.

  2. This is amazing. Beats the heck out of the ones I made when I was a kid!
