Pinned it: Did it Vol 2

Welcome back! We are in it for round two of the Pinned it: Did it Carnival.
Link up your post with either your favorite pins from the week or a project you’ve recently tackled having been inspired by something you saw on Pinterest.

This week, we made homemade playdough from scratch.

Here are your ingredients:
2 cups warm water
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons oil (we used vegetable)
1 tablespoon cream of tarter for extra elasticity (we didn’t have any on hand)
food coloring

Simply cook slowly while stirring over low heat. Cook until it is no longer sticky.

Remove to a silicone mat or waxed paper to cool.

From 9/4/11

As soon as it is cool enough to touch, knead it until smooth.

Divide and add a few drops of food coloring to each section.

Pro-Tip: Try to keep the little one from licking it incessantly. It won’t hurt him, but he will have a mighty thirst. Seriously, though, don’t let your pets eat it. Eating that large of an amount of salt at a time could cause an imbalance.

Then, if you desire (and this is Sarah Bee we are talking about here, so of course we did) you may add essential oils.
Yellow is Lemongrass & Sage
Green is Bartlett Pear
Pink is Sweet Pea
Violet is Lavender EO for pre-naptime relaxation
