I wasn’t going to do anything special to commemorate the Royal Wedding, but yesterday @HeirToBlair got me thinking about wedding vows. I really loved our vows and looked back to see what they were. So, now that I’m all in the wedding spirit again, I decided to share a brief glimpse into ours. It was a small handmade affair with a few close family members and friends in the historical Old North Church in Boston and a day I had long waited patiently to arrive. Without further ado, here you are:

I took the T in Boston on the Red Line and walked to my wedding. Was enormously fun!

In the end, it’s all about family. I am so blessed and grateful to be surrounded by their love.

Will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
I will. <3

Oh…this has me thinking I need to do a blog post about my wedding. Especially since my first anniversary is coming up on Sunday.

Our vows included: “You must always wear your wedding ring to the strip club” and “I promise to be more decisive about what we have for dinner”.

Guess which line was in there just to see the reaction on my mother in law’s face?

    • Sarah says:

Haha! Guessing it’s the strip club line, but I’m thinking we really ought to have included the decisive dinner part in ours, too. I knew we left something out!

Oh what a beautiful wedding! I have to know though how in the world did you keep your dress clean riding the T to the church?!

    • Sarah says:

Thank you! It was rush hour and I stood. Somehow, along the way, a beetle of some kind crawled all the way up between the outer lace and skirt to the waist even though I had it bustled for the walk. I didn’t realize until after our vows but we laughed and laughed.

Lovely pics! How long have you been married now? We just had our 12th anniversary on Sunday. Not sure how that time went by so quickly…
